The Terengganu Hockey Association (THA) has gave national striker
Faizal Saari the green light to play in the foreign leagues while
waiting for his suspension to end.
The 25 year-old was given a six-month suspension by the Malaysian
Hockey Confederation (MHC) after he failed to show up for any of the
training sessions since last October 2.
President of THA, Datuk Wan Ahmad Nizam Wan Abdul Hamid claimed that
the association has no restrictions on his desire to play in any
overseas league and stated that the action could also benefit the
Teregganu team.
“If Faizal’s chances are better overseas, we have no problem with
that and THA will fully support him for the sake of the team and the
future of the player,” Wan Ahmad Nizam told Bernama.
Faizal has currently set eyes of heading to either Germany, Oman or Hong Kong.
